The 5th Annual Beach, Bacon and Brewfest in Lincoln City, Oregon is back
with Sunnyvalley Bacon as the exclusive bacon sponsor and Bigfoot Beverages is the exclusive Brewer sponsor. Tasting enthusiasts will enjoy samplings from more than 20 microbrews and Ciders. Coming back as a judge is Helen Raptis of AM Northwest.
On Saturday, July 13 charity cooking teams will be competing and serving up “bacon bites” for you to enjoy. All bacon bit proceeds go to the various charities. Brewers with some of the best the Pacific Northwest has to offer will keep you coming back for more again this year. All of
this fun, food and beer is only $25 a ticket for those 21 and over. Your entry includes $5 in free slot play, beer tastings, live music and the opportunity to purchase $1 bacon bits for tastings.
The event is from Noon to 6pm with live music throughout the event. Don’t miss live music all day starting noon and ending at 5:30pm. Three live bands will take turns entertaining the crowd with a variety of genres: Rock N’ Roll Cowboys, Noon—1:30pm, Fun with Jo,
2pm—3:3pm and Short Notice from 4pm-5:30pm. Ten charities are competing for the ultimate bragging rights of People’s and Judge’s choice champions.
Every bacon bit dollar goes directly to the charities. The 2019 charities participating are: Lincoln City Chamber of Commerce, Depoe Bay Food Pantry, Family Promise of Lincoln County, American Legion Post #116, My Sisters' Place, Taft Tiger Boosters, Neighbors For Kids, Bay City Cruisers, RSVP and Mouse Factory Cooperative Preschool. Mouthwatering recipes again this year are sure to please every taste.
We are thankful for the sponsors helping offset food costs for the charity teams including Fred Meyer, Taylor and Taylor Realty, and TLC Credit Union. Breweries from all over Oregon are attending serving up tastes of beer and cider. We have many returners and some new names. Current breweries scheduled to attend are: Ace Cider, Arch Rock, Avid Cider, Bauman’s Cider, Breakside Brewery, Buoy Beer Company, Fort George Brewery, GoodLife Brewing,
McKenzie Brewing, Nectar Creek Mead, Ninkasi Brewing, Oakshire Brewing, Pelican Brewery and Three Creeks Brewing.
Charities will be creating tasty bacon recipes in competition to be named the best bacon booth at the event. The attending public will purchase “bacon bit” tickets at $1.00 to sample the bacon creations. The Non-Profit groups will keep all the “bacon bit” money for their organization. Up to twenty breweries will give out samples to the public of their brew or cider lines throughout the day as part of the ticket price!
