According to the National Weather Service tidal overflow flooding expected. Rivers may be at or above 80% flood flow along the low lying areas of the central Oregon coast until 1 PM PST Saturday. Minor flooding is expected up to one foot above ground level, during the highest tide of the day especially in the low lying areas near bays, sloughs, and the lower reaches of the coastal rivers.
The total tide at 9 AM Saturday morning is predicted to be around 9.7 feet. A Coastal Flood Advisory means that tidal overflow flooding is expected. Coastal residents in the warned area should be alert for rising water, and take appropriate action to protect life and property. According to Lincoln County Emergency Management website no major rivers in Lincoln County are expected to reach flood stage. This is mostly for low lying areas and small streams. Drive with caution as there may still be debris from the wind storm on roadways and high water in areas.
