CoastBusters, a charitable organization dedicated to supporting breast cancer patients in Lincoln and Lane County, celebrated another successful year of fundraising with its annual CoastBusters Walk events in Newport and Florence. This year Coastbusts events raised more than $38,000 in Newport and over $23,000 in Florence. These funds have been given to Samaritan Pacific Communities Health District Foundation, Women’s Cancer Fund, The Pink Lemonade Project, CoastBusters Cares Fund and Oregon Cancer Foundation to benefit the coastal area of Lane County.
An important goal of Coastbusts has always been that the funds raised will remain in the community, helping patients with non-medical expenses like transportation, rent, and utilities. By alleviating these day-to-day costs, CoastBusters enables patients to focus on healing and recovery without added financial strain. CoastBusters extends heartfelt thanks to the sponsors, donors, volunteers, and walkers who made these events possible, showing tremendous community spirit and commitment to those affected by breast cancer.

impact. Donations are accepted year-round at CoastBusterswalk.org, or checks payable to

Following the success of these events, CoastBusters is actively seeking a new board member to join their passionate leadership team. This role invites community-minded individuals to help further CoastBusters’ mission and expand outreach to residents in need. Interested parties should email jeanette@CoastBusterswalk.org.
