County Commissioner Kaety Jacobson announced her resignation on Friday effective February 14th. "Stepping up into leadership is a hard decision to make and stepping down is equally hard" Jacobson said. She also added there’s issues she wants to continue working on. Jacobson was elected as commissioner in 2018, and started her term in 2019. She was re-elected in 2022. As a commissioner, Kaety has focused heavily on Echo Mountain Fire Recovery Efforts, housing, childcare, and bringing in external funds to the county to work on these critical issues. Lincoln County invites interested county residents to apply to serve the unfinished term of Commissioner Jacobson.
