Planning meetings for Lincoln County’s Community Health Improvement Plan have been scheduled for November and December. The Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) is a 5-year plan that is developed and implemented by the community, through a process supported by Lincoln County’s Public Health Department. A well-developed CHIP can align our county’s many organizations and advocates into a coordinated collaborative network to improve our collective impacts on the county’s health.
The CHIP development will occur through three workgroups. Each workgroup is responsible for a priority area, which were selected by the community. The three workgroups and priority areas are: Healthy Living, Mental Health Promotion and Community Resilience, and Substance Abuse Prevention. This link provides more information about the CHIP process and the three priority areas: https://www.co.lincoln.or.us/hhs/page/chip-priorities-selected.
Over November and December, each workgroup will convene in two planning meetings. The purpose of these meetings will be to develop the plans that will guide our community’s work in these priority areas over the next five years. The dates/times of the planning meetings (listed below) were determined through an online survey held over July and August. Locations of the meetings have not been determined yet. Save the dates for these CHIP workgroup meetings and register by November 1st at this link:
