On 12/10/19 at approximately 8:53 pm State Police Trooper Wertz stopped the driver of a white Chevy van on Hwy 101 in Lincoln Beach after observing the van drive over the center median. Upon contact the driver, identified as 28-year old Jacque N. Walters of Depoe Bay exhibited signs of impairment and smelled strongly of alcohol. She consented to and performed poorly on safety field sobriety test's. Walters was taken into custody and transported to Lincoln County Jail where she consented to a breath test rendering a result of .19% blood alcohol content, twice the legal limit. She was cited and released on charges of DUII and Reckless Driving.
