On 08/12/2023 a black SUV was traveling westbound on highway 20. A 911 caller reported seeing two kids hanging out the window and at times sitting on the window sill holding onto the roof rack. The vehicle was observed by State Police Trooper Stewart who conducted a traffic stop. The driver of the vehicle, identified as 30-year old Damar A. Dashoun of Milwaukie Oregon was arrested and charged with reckless endangering and reckless driving.
On 08/14/2023 at approximately 12:47 a.m., a driving complaint described a white sedan headed westbound on Highway 18 near milepost 3. The car was found in Lincoln City Trooper Goodey conducted a traffic stop. The driver, identified as 23-year old Francisco J. Andreas of Portland was found to be under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and lodged in the Lincoln County Jail charged with DUII and Reckless Driving.
On 8/14/2023 a Honda Civic was stopped by Trooper Kanbara for a traffic violation on US-101 near the Siletz Bay Airport. After an investigation the driver,identified as 50-year old Daniel R. Wikert was arrested for DUII. A search warrant was obtained and executed for samples the
his breath and blood. He was lodged at the Lincoln County Jail on charges of DUII, Reckless Driving and Reckless Endangering. The Lincoln City Police Department provided assistance.
On 08/15/23 at approximately 2:32 PM, State Police Lt. Tucker responded to report of a two-vehicle serious injury crash that occurred on US-20 around milepost 6. Investigation showed the driver of a blue Cobalt was traveling westbound on US-20 when the driver of a silver
Outback pulled southbound onto the roadway from Olalla Rd. and collided with the driver of the Chevy Cobalt in the center turning lane. Each vehicle came to an uncontrolled rest partially in the eastbound lane and center turning lane. All occupants wore safety restraints, airbags deployed in both vehicles, and all occupants were transported from the
scene by ambulance. Oregon State Police were assisted by Toledo Fire, LCSO, ODOT, and PACWEST Ambulance.
