On 11/16/19 at approximately 5:45 pm State Police Trooper Wertz was dispatched to a driving complaint involving a green Kia Sol that was headed southbound on Hwy 101 from Lincoln City unable to maintain its lane. While en route to locate the car he received information it had parked at the US Coast Guard Station, in Depoe Bay. Trooper Wertz responded to this location and contacted the driver, 25-year old David L. Anishchenko. Upon contact the Mr. Anishchenko exhibited numerous signs of impairment and confusion. He consented to and performed poorly on the Safety Field Sobriety Test's.
During interviews Anishchenko reportedly admitted to using multiple controlled substances recently. He was taken into custody for DUII and searched incident to arrest. During the search he was found to be in possession of cocaine, heroin, marijuana and $720 cash and was transported to Lincoln County Jail. Anishchenko consented to a full Drug Recognition evaluation and provided a urine sample. He was lodged in Lincoln County jail on charges of DUII - Controlled Substances, Reckless Driving, Reckless Endangering of a Person, Possession of controlled substances for the Cocaine and Heroin.
