On 12/13/21 at about 1:45 North Lincoln Fire and Rescue was dispatched to a fire alarm at the Dorchester House. Upon arrival they were informed that one of the lower floor apartments had a fire. The alarm was immediately upgraded to a working Commercial Fire and they requested assistance from Depoe Bay Fire, Nestucca Fire, Lincoln City Police, and Pacific West Ambulance.
Dorchester House is a 60+older apartment complex with 70 units and over 80 residents.
The fire was knocked down by on site maintenance and then extinguished by crews from North Lincoln Fire. However, evacuation due to heavy smoke conditions was complicated. There were over 26 people evaluated on scene. Several treated and released but only two transported to the hospital with nonlife threatening injuries. The incident utilized over 40 personnel, 6 Engines, 7 ambulances and several other command and light rescue vehicles.
