According to the National Weather Service there is an atmospheric river event bringing increased rainfall to the central Oregon Coast over the next two days. The heaviest rainfall is expected tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon through Friday. This heavy rain event could cause some flooding of rivers, creeks, streams and low lying areas. High water is also expected on roads, drivers should use caution. Heavy rain can also cause landslides in steep areas along with debris flow in areas where there have been wildfires or slash burns.
