On Saturday 5/13/2023 North Lincoln Fire and Rescue and Depoe Bay Fire district responded to a significant beach fire just south of Inn at Spanish Head with large flames and heavy smoke. Multiple suspects were detained. The fire was 3 acres of driftwood and grass that burned along the beach and threatened homes nearby. 3 juveniles were cited and released to parents for reckless burning. No injuries reported. State Fire Marshals Office is also investigating.
