Lincoln City In Search Of New City Manager

At the April 14th City Council meeting, the Mayor and the Councilors accepted Daphnee Legarza’s resignation as city manager. Her last day will be June 9th, as she is stepping out of the work force for an extended period of time to care for family. Ms. Legarza has been the city manager since April, 2022. In her tenure, she has seen the completion of the Lincoln City Comprehensive Plan 2043, as well as, other long-range planning efforts that are in the works.
At the same council meeting, the City Council instructed staff to start a recruitment for a City
Manger Pro Tem to fill the gap while a full recruitment is underway for a permanent City
Manager. The City is requesting letters of interest from qualified persons to fill the City
Manager Pro Tem position for the City of Lincoln City, beginning early to mid-June 2025. The
deadline for consideration in a first round of interest letters received is 5:00 pm, Friday, April
