On Friday October 28th Lincoln City police officer Lane attempted a traffic stop on a white Honda on Highway 101. The driver, later identified as 20-year old Braden Hoodock, attempted to elude police and crashed near NE 22nd street and NE West Devils Lake Road. Pacific West Ambulance and North Lincoln Fire arrived and treated the driver for minor injuries and transported him to Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital. After being medically cleared he was transported to the Lincoln County Jail on charges of attempt to elude, reckless driving and reckless endangering. The juvenile passenger in the car was picked up by a parent.
On Sunday October 30th Lincoln City police officer Orazio responded to a report of a disturbance that occurred at the coin laundry. The victim was punched in the face by the suspect, identified as 32-year old Benjamin Pasciyo. He was transported to the Lincoln County jail on charges of Harassment, Disorderly Conduct 2, Assault 4, and Criminal Mischief 2.
During a medical evaluation by North Lincoln Fire of an intoxicated person who was in custody at the Lincoln City Police Department the person vomited on the Lincoln City Police Department's floor of the sally port. After the evaluation, crews from North Lincoln fire volunteered to hose off the floor. A few hours later, Lincoln City police were the first to arrive at vehicle fire. Officers commandeered nearby garden hoses to extinguish most of the flames before North Lincoln Fire crews took over. Partnerships between LCPD, NLF, and PacWest are essential to providing emergency services in Lincoln City.
