Oregon Coast Community College has welcomed Jeanette Campagna as the new Director of Advancement with the OCCC Foundation. She comes from the Greater Newport Chamber of Commerce, where she was the Business Programs and Development Manager. After more than four years at the Chamber, Campagna is looking forward to starting a new chapter in her career through supporting students and advancing programs at OCCC.
“I’m excited to be part of the overarching goal of advancing student education in the form of fundraising,” she said, “by providing student scholarships, furthering academic programming, and supporting instructional materials and technical research.” Campagna has a long career of working in nonprofits, membership, and fundraising, including working at the Washington State Special Olympics, Point Defiance Zoological Society, Providence St. Peter Hospital Foundation, Tacoma Art Museum, and the Arthritis Foundation in Bellingham, Washington.
The OCCC Foundation position appealed to her because higher education is critical to the success of Lincoln County. “The College has an excellent reputation and mission of advancing student education, including so many programs that help students reach success,” she said. “They are our next generation, and we need to invest in their future.” OCCC Foundation Board President David Robinson has full confidence that Campagna will lead the Foundation to success.
“Jeanette Campagna brings to the OCCCF several years of high-level skills in the nonprofit
sector,” he said. “She understands the present needs of the foundation and has a vision for its
future. The foundation board looks forward to working with her.” Made possible through generous donor contributions, the OCCC Foundation offers numerous scholarships to help students afford a college education.
