Here are the preliminary results of the primary election for Lincoln County. There were 5 who ran for county commissioner position 2. The two with the highest votes are Incumbent Claire Hall with 4,530 and Rick Beasley who has 2325. For Lincoln County District Attorney Jenna Wallace is ahead of Kathryn Benfield by 1,241 votes. There were six measures on the ballot and all of them have passed including Measure 21-224 – Oregon Coast Community College District, which will provide bonds to construct trades education facility, improve classrooms, safety, and technology. Measure 21-226 – from the City of Newport asking for a raise in the local gas tax of a year round 5 cents per gallon for funding for street resurfacing and reconstruction projects passed and Measure 21-227 from the City of Toledo to approve bonds for the Ammon water reservoir replacement.
