Gabriel Deanda Jr. was sentenced on June 8 by Presiding Judge Sheryl Bachart to a total of 8-years and 3 months in the Department of Corrections for forcible rape of a 14 year old, the maximum penalty allowed under Oregon Ballot Measure 11. He will remain on post prison supervision for twenty years and carries a lifetime Sex Offender Registration requirement. He will face additional penalties if found in violation of his supervision and additional charges if he fails to strictly comply with the Sex Offender Registration requirements. The State was represented in trial by Deputy District Attorney Hollie Boggess who remains dedicated to protecting children and vulnerable victims in Lincoln County.
