According to Tim Gross President of the Beverly Beach Water District. around 3am Wednesday morning the east half of NE Beverly Drive just south of 121st Street slid into the adjacent canyon, fracturing the District’s 6” watermain that feeds the District south of that location and that connects the water plant to the storage tank. The watermain north of that break was shut down at 121st street and there is water in the tank.
Residents in Finestere should still have some water pressure. All residents south of 121st street will be out of water until further notice. Gross added they are unable to feed the tank with water until the repair is completed, and the repair will need to wait for Lincoln County roads to fix the road base, so we have someplace to put the repaired waterline. Residents are asked to conserve water until further notice.
