On Friday September 17 Oregon State Police Trooper Kolacz responded along with emergency personnel to a single car crash just north of Ona Beach. Investigation showed the 70-year old driver of a Mitsubishi SUV was being driven southbound on Hwy-101 when he went towards the shoulder and rolled the SUV. The driver and his 74-year old passenger were given a courtesy ride towards Waldport. There were no injuries reported.
Saturday just after 2pm State Police Trooper Kolacz responded to a single car crash on Cascade Head, north of Lincoln City. Investigation showed 68-year old Mark L Breed of Arizona was driving his Ram 2500 with 5th wheel travel trailer southbound down Cascade Head on US-101 when he reported he began to fall asleep and started going off the roadway onto the shoulder. The Ram and trailer overturned. Breed, his passenger, and dog were not injured in the crash. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office provided a courtesy transport into Lincoln City. Mr Breed was issued a citation for failing to drive in his lane.
