State Police Respond To Crashes and DUII's


State Police Trooper Kanbara stopped the driver of a Ford Explorer for a traffic violation on hwy-101 near SE 19th St in Lincoln City. During contact with the driver, identified as 53-year old Tammy J Daube of Lincoln City he noticed signs of intoxication. Trooper Kanbara conducted a DUII investigation and she provided a breath sample that showed her blood alcohol level at .16, twice the legal limit. Daube was arrested for DUII - Alcohol, reckless endangering and reckless driving.


Oregon State Police received multiple driving complaints for a white U=haul chevy 1500 for failure to maintain its lane. The vehicle was found parked in vicinity off highway 101 in a large gravel pull out across from NE 100th Dr. The driver, identified as 63-year old Eric P, Horton of Salem was found to be Driving under the influence, after a field sobriety test. He was arrested, and lodged at the Lincoln County Jail for DUII and Reckless Driving.


State Police Trooper Nathman responded to a single vehicle crash on highway 34 at milepost 7/5. Upon arriving, a Ford was observed down an embankment, partially in the water. The driver was put through field sobriety tests and performed well. He was given a ride into

Waldport. Rowley's Towing towed the vehicle from the scene. ODOT assisted on scene with traffic control and cleaning up of debris. There were no injuries reported.
