On July 14th Lincoln City Police Officers responded to a report of an intoxicated driver. They contacted the suspect, identified as 32-year old Omar A. Rivas Ordaz and during the course of investigation developed probable cause to arrest him. Mr. Ordaz resisted arrest and began actively fighting with officers. He was eventually subdued and taken into custody. He was taken to Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital to be checked out before being transported to the Lincoln County Jail and lodged of charges of DUII, Resisting Arrest, Driving While suspended – Misdemeanor level, as well as felony warrant out of Washington County charging Fail to Appear on a DUII charge, and a Misdemeanor warrant out of Yamhill County for Probation Violation – DUII.
