On Tuesday December 12th just after 12pm the Lincoln County Technical Rescue Team was called out to East Lincoln County in the area of Harlan and Wolf Creek Road. There was a report of a person who had fallen and sustained an injury at the creeks edge. While enroute with Pacific West Ambulance and a description of the area, crews requested the Lincoln County Search and Rescue Team for additional assistance.Toledo Fire team members arrived first and found the patient to be approximately 400’ down from the road and across the creek.
Team members from Newport, Seal Rock, and North Lincoln Fire Departments arrived to assist. Due to the terrain two systems were set up to help remove the patient. Search and Rescue and Lincoln County Sheriffs Office personnel arrived and assisted in the rescue.
It truly showed the great teamwork that agencies in Lincoln County have. Not one team could have done it alone, everyone was needed to safely bring the patient up to personnel from Pacific West Ambualnce.
