Tidewater Woman Cited For DUII After Crash


On 8/15/20 at approximately 7:21 pm State Police Trooper Wertz was dispatched to assist Lincoln County Sheriff's Office to attempt to locate a white sedan involved in a minor crash which occurred on Barclay Meadows Rd in the Tidewater area. He located the described vehicle as it was pulling out of the Flounder Inn Tavern parking lot onto Hwy 101 in Waldport. Trooper Wertz conducted a routine traffic stop for observed violations.


Upon contact with the female driver, identified as 60-year old Bonnie L. Lawson of Tidewater, Trooper Wertz observed several signs of impairment and she reportedly admitted to recently drinking alcohol. Lawson consented to and performed poorly on Safety field sobriety test's and was taken into custody for DUII and transported to Lincoln County Jail where she consented to a breath test rendering a result of .14% Blood Alcohol Content. She was cited and released.
