Toledo Police Offer New App

Toledo Police Department is pleased to announce plans to provide their officers with the leading high-tech officer wellness solution to support their mental health and well-being. Toledo Police officers will now have a powerful and easy to use wellness tool in the palm of their hands. Toledo Police Chief Mike Pace stated, “Employee Wellness is very important to me and I am very pleased to be able to provide this tool to my employees, their significant others, volunteers, and retirees. First responders often experience issues associated with anxiety, depression, sleeplessness, anger, and various stress disorders which untreated can lead to substance abuse and misuse, divorce, suicidal thoughts, psychological disorders and compassion fatigue.

I know this app and the modules within it can help them. It seems very fitting to me that we are rolling out the Toledo Police Department Wellness app on Law Enforcement Appreciation Week. There is a free public version of the app which is available in all app stores today. The public version provides access to the City of Toledo News, Toledo Police Department Website and Facebook, Important Department Links, Safety and Crime Tips, Local Addiction Help, City of Toledo Calendar, and a List of Things to Do in Lincoln County. The Toledo Police Department will also be able to send out Push Notifications to those who have the app to warn the public about potential dangers or major incidents.”

The Toledo Police Department Wellness App provides access to therapists, peer support, and

the leading officer wellness solution available globally offering confidential, in-hand, on-demand 24/7 access to 40+ modules on topics such as alcohol, depression, emotional health, family support, financial fitness, mindfulness, psychological first aid, sleep optimization, and stress management. Dr. David Black, CEO of Cordico emphasized, “No one should ever feel blocked from accessing help at times of need due to their schedule or location or concerns about confidentiality, and that is especially true for our public safety personnel who dedicate their professional lives to responding to others’ emergencies. Toledo PD will roll out their new Cordico Wellness App on May 14 th , 2021.
