According to the National Weather service, a 7.3 earthquake occurred 45 miles SW of Eureka, Ca; the National Tsunami Warning Center has determined there is NO tsunami for Lincoln County at this time from this earthquake. Again, NO tsunami expected from the recent earthquake in Lincoln County. However, A tsunami Warning is in effect which for the coastal areas of California and Southern Oregon 10 miles SW of Florence. Lincoln County emergency management is carefully watching the situation and if there are any changes we will notify the public as soon as possible.

According to Lincoln County Emergency Management there is no tsunami threat to Lincoln County at this time.
