On March 3rd, 2024 the Newport Police Department, assisted by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, served a narcotics-related search warrant at a residence located at 140 NE 60th Street in Newport, Oregon. Officers had received information that 39-year old Andres G. Garcia and 40-year old Amanda Houchens both of Newport, were selling narcotics from this residence to others in the Newport and Lincoln County area.
During the service of the warrant officers located evidence of drug use and sales. Officers located a commercial quantity of Fentanyl, digital scales, packaging material, drug records, drug use paraphernalia, and US Currency. Arrested at the scene and lodged in the Lincoln County Jail were the following persons for the following charges;
ANDRES GARCIA
Delivery of a Controlled Substance – Fentanyl
Possession of a Controlled Substance – Fentanyl
Manufacturing of a Controlled Substance – Fentanyl
Frequenting/ Maintaining a Place Where Controlled Substances are Kept or Used
AMANDA HOUCHENS
Delivery of a Controlled Substance – Fentanyl
Possession of a Controlled Substance – Fentanyl
Manufacturing of a Controlled Substance – Fentanyl
Frequenting/ Maintaining a Place Where Controlled Substances are Kept or Used
