Yachats Mushroom Festival


Kick the festival off with a mushroom-themed dinner created by Ona Restaurant & Lounge and Heceta Head Bed & Breakfast and Keynote speaker Langdon Cook, author of The Mushroom Hunters: A Hidden World of Food, Money and (Mostly Legal) Adventures. Tickets are selling out fast; click here to purchase yours.

An Indoor Mushroom Treasure Hunt- Visit the participating stores and galleries to search for the hidden mushrooms that local artists Rasa Clay Works and Paris Birdwell created. Once you find the hidden mushroom, the store will give you a form to fill out with your name, phone number, and email. You will now be entered in a drawing to win that very mushroom. Increase your chances by visiting each participating store.

Outdoor Mushroom Treasure Hunt, Saturday’s October 21st - March 2nd

If you find it, you keep it!

On Saturdays, October 21st - March 2nd, the Yachats Area Chamber of Commerce and the “Trail Gnomes” will set out and hide mushrooms made out of glass and porcelain by local artists Rasa Clay Works and Paris Birdwell. We will start giving clues on @Visit.Yachats social media the Friday before to their secret hiding locations.

Workshop Series: hands-on experiences in our workshop series hosted by professional mycologists, 10 am - 4 pm: Saturday & Sunday

With so many things going on, we’ve created Mushroom Festival Guides; please come to the Visitor Center anytime after 10:30 on Wednesday, October 18th, to get some for your place of business to share. The chamber will also be giving them out at the event.
